The Rotary Club of Chennai Banyan Tree (RCCBT), with support from the Rotary Club of Madras Celebrities and other cluns, was chartered on 25th August 2025. Bonding through friendship and fellowship while committed to serving humanity, a few Rotarians got together in 2025 to float a new club. Hence the name BANYAN TREE – meaning ‘DEEP ROOTED WITH MEMBERS KEEP INCREASING AS MANY AS ROOTS IN BANYAN TREE’. For RCCBT, With a harmonious blend of people—some with Rotary experience and others new to it—any institution committed to serving society is empowered to move forward with joy, enthusiasm, and a strong determination to uplift the weaker sections. United by high spirits and a shared resolve to face challenges together, this collective strength formed the very foundation on which RCC Banyan Tree was chartered.
Volunteering offers opportunities to develop new skills and gain valuable experience. This can include leadership, communication, project management, and teamwork skills.
